James L. Soren, CPA JAMES L. SOREN, CPA

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPERTISE

Mr. Soren is a founding partner at Soren McAdam Christenson. His responsibility entails, in his words, "Knowing everything about the firm and using that knowledge to monitor and improve its performance." His practice focuses primarily on the construction and real estate development industries.

EXPERIENCE

  • Former chief financial officer for a large general engineering contractor
  • Served contractors, developers, and manufacturers as a CPA in public accounting for more than 30 years

EDUCATION

  • Graduated in 1966 from California Polytechnic University-Pomona with bachelor of science degree in accounting
  • Licensed CPA in the state of California
  • Continuing education through daily reading related to general business issues, construction and real estate development, and individual and corporate income tax matters

PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

  • Longtime member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
  • Past board member of Associated General Contractors

PERSONAL

Mr. Soren engages in weekly golf games with friends and enjoys playing competitively in tournaments. He and his wife, Diana, enjoy the peacefulness of mountain living.
