Sarbanes-Oxley
Recent Legislation
Enacted by Congress in 2002, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requires the CEO and CFO of publicly traded companies to certify the effectiveness of their disclosure controls and procedures. This includes any material changes in internal financial controls.
Most companies have not completed this audit, and need to quickly advance the project to meet compliance deadlines. The compliance audit cannot be completed by the same firm that audits your financial statements. Soren McAdam Christenson LLP is firmly positioned to assist your company in this requirement.
Substantial Experience
As head of the firm's auditing and accounting functions, the new Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance falls under partner Dave Tuttle. Dave is responsible for establishing and monitoring the firm's quality control policies and procedures for all of our audit and accounting engagements. Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance is similar to an audit of other accountant's work and internal procedures. Dave has over 25 years of accounting experience as a CPA.
